Advisory Board
The Advisory Board will represent the requirements and priorities of the Railway operators, the Rail industry and other users of Rail research. The Advisory Board membership will be defined in a Council decision and formed by ERRAC, EC, AEIF, VDB, FIF, RIA; CEN/CENELEC, SNCF; DB, UIC, UNIFE, UITP and others. The rules and agreements related to the appointment must ensure that matters of confidentiality are observed in accordance with the EURNEX Code of Honour.
The Advisory Board should give advice to the consortium concerning the strategic development of the Network, the long-term user requirements and priorities (railways, industry, transport policy) and a reflection of EURNEX objective achievements. It can formulate recommendations to the Council and can also be requested by the Council to deliberate on further specific topics.
The Advisory Board shall meet twice a year or upon request by the Coordinator in agreement with the chairperson of the Council. The Advisory Board will be chaired in two years period by UNIFE and UIC. Assigned chairman for the first two years period is Dr. Tjark Siefkes, UNIFE with a co-chair by Mr. Werner Breitling, UIC. The Advisory Board takes its decisions according to internal rules to be agreed upon by the Advisory Board and approved by the Council.
